Figuring It Out Exhibit At Townsend Atelier

Friday, April 20, 2018

Every Thursday evening, since 2009, Townsend Atelier has held an open figure drawing studio its facility in Chattanooga.  Throughout the years, countless artists of all ages and levels have come together to continue this time-honored artistic tradition of studying the figure from life and building a supportive community of artists.

This exhibit features works created at Townsend Atelier by over 25 local artists --some emerging, some professionals--who have attended the weekly open figure drawing studio.  Works include painting, pastel, drawing, and sculpture.  Works (framed and unframed) are available for purchase. Prices range to accommodate everyone's wallet.

The exhibit will be on view through the month of May weekdays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. or by appointment.

The Figuring it Out opening reception is set for Friday, May 4, from 5:30-9 p.m. It is open to the public and free of charge.

Townsend Atelier is at The Arts Building, 301 East 11th St.
