Here are upcoming events at the Chattanooga Public Library:

Erlanger’s Family Stress Series at the Chattanooga Public Library  will be held Thursday, Oct. 5, at 6 p.m. at the downtown branch.

Erlanger's Behavioral Health Team understands the many challenges and stresses families encounter and has partnered with the Chattanooga Public Library to offer guidance and support through the program Family Stress: Solutions for Everyday Living.

The October program will be Caregivers: Looking after yourself before you can look after others. Discussion will focus on what strategies caregivers can use to avoid becoming ill themselves. The meeting will also offer suggestions for grandparents who are raising children as well as for those in the "Sandwich" generation - people who are caring for both aging parents and their dependent children.

This program is free and open to everyone in the community.  For more information call the library at 643-7700.

CPR and Basic First Aid Training: will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, and Thursday, Oct. 26, at the downtown branch.

In fact, it took me two hours to start this paper because I was so hypnotized by phone, checking my Instagram and seeing what the next ... (click for more)

Roy Exum: The Lesbian’s Daddy

I’ve always held the belief that things work out for the best. Oh, I’ve been in some tights where I couldn’t see the forest for the trees but, in the up-and-down life I have lived, I’ve found that God doesn’t make mistakes.
